It’s a common problem when the temperatures drop: fog appears on the inside of your windscreen and you would think you were in a sauna (without the relaxing effects of the heat of course!) As well as being annoying, it can be dangerous and cause problems, meaning that it needs to be managed. We have already given you a few tips for if there is fog or frost on your windscreen, as well as tips and checks for optimising conditions in your car to prevent this from happening. These preventative checks are important to solve the problem at the source.
Today we are going to show you a technique for making an anti-fog or anti-mist cloth which will allow you to start your journey in peace.
What you need:
- A piece of chamois leather
- Washing up liquid or 90% strength alcohol
1) Add the washing up liquid or the alcohol to the water.
2) Soak the chamois.
3) Leave it to dry.
4) Once or twice a week, use this cloth to wipe the windows to prevent a build up of fog or mist.
