Everyone loves getting a pair of shiny new shoes. However, the problem is that with new shoes, they never fail to give you blisters and frictions burns, and these small wounds appear where our skin rubs against the shoes. 

So for the great blister warriors that most of us think we are, we often believe we have the solution: burst the blister and cover it with a plaster? However, this is not the best method, and won’t help you avoid infection. To ensure that it heals well and heals quickly, follow our recommendations.

1) Salt

Make a foot bath with 5 litres of hot water and 5 spoons of salt. Bathe your feet for around a quarter of an hour. This may not be very pleasant, but it will provide relief afterwards. After this little moment of relaxation, dry your feet well and cast an eye over the blisters. If the largest ones make it sore to put on your shoes, drain the liquid with a sterilised needle. Otherwise, avoid doing so, because it will take longer to heal and you will suffer for longer.

2) Aloe vera

Aloe vera soothes pain and inflammation, while supporting healing. It will dry out the blister and stop irritation in the following days. All you need to do is to apply the gel to the friction burns or blisters. Cover it with a gauze and leave it on overnight.

3) Bicarbonate of soda

Prepare a hot foot bath with 5 branches of rosemary, which will provide relief thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, which will remove bacteria from the cuts and blisters. Next make a mixture with 200 mls of hot water with 20 g of bicarbonate of soda and 40 mls of oxygenated water, and stir it until it is all blended evenly. Apply this mixture generously to the affected areas, until all the mixture is used up. Repeat twice a day for rapid results.

4) Garlic and thyme

Disinfect and reduce inflammation in the area with a foot bath made with 5 litres of water and 100 grams of thyme, in which you bathe your feet for at least 20 minutes. Dry your feet well afterwards. Chop 3 cloves of garlic and apply it to a gauze, which you apply to the affected areas, to benefit from the natural antibiotic properties of garlic. Leave it on for 15 minutes. There is no need to rinse it off or put anything else on the blisters -just leave the garlic work its magic.
